Geocraft theme is it build to be vulnerable when we touch original files ? i start to be worried !!!

Hi,
I have just translated some words manualy as you indicated in one of my thread because the .po file can not translate all words of the theme.
After that, i found that :

1- the logo no longer appears . when i upload it in the dashboad , no image appear. i used firebug and
found the image URL in the html image tag but the logo does not appear on the site.
pointing to the url, I got the following message : failed to load the given URL

2- the favicon no longer appear. same ............................ failed to load the given URL
3- a white bar appears at the top of the page. 2 days after the first two points.

i'm in local this moment with wamp server. i was waiting to make sure that everything's good (translation , css, all configurations) before hosting.
before touching files , everything was good and i'm sure that i did not make any mistake or modify any php and javascript code.

I have found the problem and resolved it. It was about the encoding. When i edited files with Notpad++ and made some manual translations, i encoded them in UTF-8 when saving. And apparently, files is not encoded in UTF-8. That 's why there have been some malfunctions for displaying pages and downloading images.

I finaly encoded files in UTF-8 (without BOM) and now everything is good !
