For all that download this file when asked for a child theme tutorial You need to edit the theme name and location to you setup as I found out. And it is just like what WordPress codex explains how to create one. I miss understood a thread that someone had on here that said they used the codex to do it and it half worked. the file provided with the theme name change worked like a charm
