    Hi,
I have had the blackbird theme installed and running for some time and have tried unsuccessfully to install the tracking code in the the google tracking code box. I can of course cut and paste the code into the box but google shows tracking not installed.

I have tried this repeatedly over the past year without success. Please help.

Thanks for that. Sadly I have tried this before and of course again today. The google analytics site still reports that the code is not installed and there is no live data showing. I've had a look at the code on the front page and I see that you are correct that it is there. However the advice from google analytics is that it is inserted "immediately before the closing </head> tag" I Notice that there is some style code between the tracking code and the closing </head> tag. Is this a problem and if so can I edit the html within wordpress?

    Hello,

Go to the Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings > Google Tracking Code section
and follow the instruction shown in the image given below.

Thanks for that. I have tried but sadly no change. Google analytics still reports that the tracking code is uninstalled. I have viewed the source code and it as you recommended.

Hope there is more that can be done.
