I am trying two ways to get a Google Map into the footer area. None seems to work:

    1. Using the "Location on Google Map" widget provided, the map does not show in the footer. Instead, there is just a link "Get direction on map>>", with the area otherwise empty.
    • How do I get the map to show?
    • And where is the string "Get direction on map>>" located so that I may translate it into a foreign language?
    2. Using a text widget with the original Google Maps embed code, the map that is shown is the map of a place in (presumably) India, not what I indicated in Google Maps.
    • How can I make the text widget display the correct map?
    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

    Firstly go to http://maps.google.co.in
and search your address there and copy the embed code of map after that
    go to Appearance > Widgets
Drag text widgets and add your google map embed code there and drop them in the Third Widget Area,It will automatically display at your footer.

What you are describing is method #2 in my first post above. I got this from maps.google.de:

    <iframe width="250" height="200" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="https://maps.google.at/maps?f=q&amp....085831&amp;z=12&amp;iwloc=A&amp;output=embed"></iframe><br /><small><a href="https://maps.google.at/maps?f=q&amp...mp;spn=0.046376,0.085831&amp;z=12&amp;iwloc=A" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">Größere Kartenansicht</a></small>

Now please look at my site. You will see an Indian place being shown, even though I placed the above code into the text widget.

Yes, indeed. I emptied the Firefox websites cache, and the correct map now shows here, too. Thank you very much for your help!

Can you please remove the image from your last reply?

    Thanks again!
