Hello, I'm trying to understand why my google rank has suddenly dropped a LOT. One suggestion is that my robots.txt file is not adequate. I was advised to add this: User-agent: * Disallow: /feed Disallow: /*/feed Disallow: /xmlrpc Disallow: /wp- Disallow: /?p= Disallow: /*trackback Allow: /wp-content/uploads/ But! I can't find the file. Questions: 1. Where is the robots.txt file? 2. Should I add the above text? 3. Any other ideas about what might have caused my sight to drop in rank? I don't have any backlinks or spam at all. Thank you!
Hello, "robots.txt" file is not present in the Theme directory, it is present in the Root Directory. You can try "WP Robots Txt" plugin , it will helps you.
