Wish to slightly decrease the size of the header section.

Please paste the code given below in Custom CSS section (Appearance -> Theme Options -> Styling Options -> Custom CSS) of your dashboard.

Code:

.header_wrapper {
    margin-bottom: -20px;
    margin-top: -26px;
}

NOTE: Change the numeric value as per your requirement..
