Hi, I am trying to optimise my web site using the guidelines given by Google. The web site is http://www.sheffieldcarpetcleaner.co.uk/ I am using a Google tool. This tool tells me that my images have problems with Alt tags. My problem is that I know the images have Alt tags because I have put them there. It is telling me on one photo that it has one word as the alt tag and also that the word is second-feature-image. I need to make sure my pictures have the information in the Alt tags and not show 'second-feature-image' as the word because this is effecting my seo efforts. Can you help me with this please. See screen shot. Thanks Paul.
Hello, Go to front-page.php present in your theme directory and follow the instruction as shown in image given below Thanks & Regards Gourav Shrivastava
Hi Gourav, Thanks for that. I have made a few sites for the surrounding towns for our carpet cleaning business. Should I assume that all the first page feature images will need changing. I am keen to get as much right on the Google side as possible. Thanks Paul.
Hello, Yes, you can chage alt tag manually from front-page.php file. Or you can also use the "SEO Friendly Images" plugin, download it from WordPress.org and upload it. https://wordpress.org/plugins/seo-image/ I hope it will fulfil your requirements. Thanks & Regards Gourav Shrivastava
