Home Page 2 cols; right column now appears underneath left column

I'm using a child-theme of Cloriato and its been successful on our website for over a year.
This morning I look to update the right column information on the home page and it no longer appears to the right anymore, rather it is appended underneath the left column information.
How did this happen? And more importantly, how can I fix it?

You have to reinstall your theme because you did some changes in theme.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I actually did not have to re-install the theme, but you are correct in that I did make some kind of change to my installation of wordpress and the various plug-ins.
I added a plug-in called "Column Shortcodes" that I had intended to use on another page of my site. (Column Shortcodes is a great plug-in!!) Once I deactivated this plug-in, the home page 2-columns appeared as it originally functioned.
I guess it's good to remember that sometimes new plug-ins can disrupt the overall look and feel with some themes, perhaps this is one of them. I found a way to create columns on my other page without this plug-in use.
