My home page will not format as the home page.

If I delete it, the page default to the blog page, but will have all of the homepage elements on it.

I think I have all of the reading options and settings correct

Hi,

Let me explain the cause of the issue so that will happen again you can resolve it yourself.

Actually, under settings=>Reading you had selected A static page, which by default display the blog page.
Now, we have set it to Your latest posts, which show the homepage.
