How can I use my custom menu instead of the homepage one?

I want the homepage of my site to use my "Main Menu" designation from the Appearance > Menus options.

I don't know why it doesn't do this by default... it's really frustrating that I'm forced into the theme's homepage navigation...

Can you please let me know what I need to do on my end to fix this, so that the menu I'm seeing on my homepage matches with the main nav I'm using across my site? I don't care at all about jumping to a section on the homepage, I do care a lot about easy navigation that carries consistently through the site.
