How do I do alt tags for images when I use the gallery page template?

I don't seem to be able to see the images like I usually can to modify the SEO alt tags. Thank you

It is not possible to add alt tag for images in gallery page template, But you can use the NextGen Gallery plugin from WordPress.org

It will fulfill your requirements.

 

I have actually found a work around for alt tags. Go to any page or post and pretend like you are going to add an image from your existing gallery of images. Then select each image one by one and install the alt tag information you want associated with the picture. Then simply close the gallery without adding any image, or add if you want, and the alt tags will remain
