Hello, To organize the menu you can make the custom menu, and can select how much tab you want to show on the page and in which order, to make the custom menu go to Appearance -> Menu Create your new menu and select the pages from the left side "Pages" tab is available there, you can also drag and drop the page to set its order and then save the menu. Then you have to select that menu in "Theme location" tab. It will show the selected menu in your page.
I totally screwed this up. I have now lost the HOME page, and don't how to get it back. I added the menu and then the HOME page is lost. Previously before menu added, HOME page listed: http://screencast.com/t/buIrXkIMJDi0 Appearance - Menu area: http://screencast.com/t/luLDP48r0QB Current: w/o Home Page: http://screencast.com/t/buIrXkIMJDi0 Thanks.
Well, I left the menu as it was but used a plug-in called 'Simple Page Ordering' which allows drag and drop page ordering without making up your own menu, this seems to complement the theme and works well for me. You would need to delete your existing custom menu though. Each page is a menu item except for the inbuilt themes pages such as 'thank you', 'dashboard', 'listing' etc you can also make these pages act as sub menus by choosing a parent for the page template and then re-ordering. Your own menu is easier to implement when you have done it a few times on other Wordpess sites and you do of course have more control!! Hope this helps Roger
Thanks. I added a Adsense Privacy Policy Plugin which shows up as a PAGE. I have the Simple Page Ordering Plugin activated and its working. How do I take away the Adsense Privacy Policy Page that is showing up in the section now: http://screencast.com/t/GFH5UWpIMdd9
Well, I see what you mean from the screenshot - I've never used that plug-in so I don't know how it works or if you can control the page being published, might be worth contacting the developer. Otherwise I can only suggest that either you make it inconspicuous by making the page a sub menu or you grit your teeth and learn how to make a custom menu where you can control it yourself. Its not that difficult to do but is a learning curve. Roger Edit: if you don't actually use the page why not try making it a draft or pending review page and see what happens?
Hmmmm, So if I create a custom menu, how do I go about creating the home page: What link do I use? Is it the main domain?
