Hi, My first issue is that I have received over 9,000 spam profile registrations in the past week. I believe I read somewhere that the latest version has a captcha or honeypot to prevent this, correct? Therefore, I am trying to update to 1.8.5 (from 1.7.7) and I get this error (screenshot attached) when trying to upload the new theme in Wordpress --> Appearance --> Themes. What is the best way to update without losing any of the customizations I have done to the site: www.rebuildnewjersey.com ? Thank you.
Hello, The reason for this error is you have geocraft theme in your dashboard and uploading new theme with the same name. So do one thing copy your old theme from your server and keep it for backup. After that delete theme from dashboard and upload new latest one. After that create child theme with the help of video link given below.
