Setting up a few directory sites using the latest version of Geocraft. The directory is running great, lots of awesome features and look forward to getting a few of these sites online.

One of the things I wasn't able to fully understand is how the listing plans work. The first one is a free listing with limited features that we can control mostly. The one time payment plan is the one I don't understand. Can this be used for a yearly listing plan where the user can renew at the same rate as the original listing plan when it expires? I see a few Geocraft directories setup this way, just don't know how it works or if it works that way since I haven't registered at those sites. The third plan makes sense, recurring.

Regarding the 'featured' upgrades. Are those also for the same time period as the listing plan? For example, if the one time plan (or yearly) has a featured home and category upgrade pricing added, will that last for the entire year as well? And if the recurring was for 3 months, is the featured upgrade for 3 months also?

Wasn't able to find these explanations in the documentation anywhere, any advice would be very much appreciated!

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Greetings from InkThemes!

As I understand from your above words that you have the issue with only one-time payment option..

So I would like to tell you that it's totally depends upon the admin that what he want to set active period for their users like it might be after some days, after few months or after few years as well and also have authority to add the renewal charges after a time period, means its not like to set same charge as have done earlier for that particular product.

When a listing will suppose to expire then a mail will be automatically delivered to the listing owner with the information of renewal activity of the product and after that the listing owner can make payment from their dashboard.

If you will look over the payment setting of the theme option panel of your dashboard then all the description of payment are mentioned over there..

When a user upgrades the listing from free to paid listing then for the first time they have to set the featured on homepage & category upgrade. Its not like to upgrade them again & again.

Hope it will clear your all issues..

Do let me know if you need more assistance,

    Thanks & Regards!

    Hi Priyanka,
Thanks much for your reply and details!
Sure thing, so it sounds like the one-time plan can be designed to be a 1 year plan (we set the duration) and the listing owner can then renew that same plan if they wanted after they get the email notice that their listing has expired.

When the listing expires, does the listing disappear from the site? Or does the ability for the listing owner to modify it and edit it expire and still shows?

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hello,

When a listing will suppose to expire then firstly a mail will be delivered to the listing owner and listing owner only have the authority to renew the listing through payment from their dashboard otherwise that will be disappeared from the site.

I would also like to inform you that the admin has the ability to whether he want to show or hide that particular listing after expiration.

Hope it will clear your issue...

Do let me know if you need more assistance,

    Thanks & Regards!
