Hi, Can you help me with this. I am trying to change my home page into a static page. The page is ‘carpet cleaners Doncaster’ (which was already a page in the site). I want this to be the home page. In the settings/reading settings. I selected ‘static page' and selected the page ‘carpet cleaners Doncaster’ and saved the settings. It still shows the original front page. Should I have done something else to take away the original page? Thank you. The site is: https://www.merlinclean.co.uk/
Hello, I think you are using the older version of the theme and the latest version of the theme is (1.2.2), so you are requested to upgrade the theme to the latest version. Hope this helps...! Regards, Akbar InkThemes.com
Thank you Akbar. Can you tell me how to do that, and can you tell me if it will effect anything? For example will it effect the custom CSS or anything? Thanks, Paul.
Hello, Please follow below-given steps: Download the zip file of Appointway theme by logging in your members account: http://inkthemes.com/members/member Now, extract the zip file and rename that extracted folder like appointway-pro to like appointway-pro_new, Again, you would need to create a zip file of that renamed folder (say: appointway-pro_new.zip), Now, upload the theme on your WordPress from Dashboard->Appearance->Themes->Add New Then, activate your theme, This way you can install and activate your updated version on your site, keeping the copy of your older version of the theme in your WordPress Hope you find it helpful, Thanks & Regards, Akbar InkThemes.com
Hi Akbar, I did that. I have the 1.2.4 theme installed. It still won't let me change to a static front page though :-(
