Hi, as category listing pages are automatically generated, how can I change the meta data for these? I want to share the pages on facebook, but the info that comes up from the link doesn't look right. I would like to remove the word 'Archives' from the title. Also, the description is drawing directly from the first listing in the page - how can this be changed? Many thanks, Rosie
Hello Rosie, Thanks for contacting us, You can change remove that word directly from the business listing title. I didn't quite understand it. Will you please elaborate your query with the help of some edited screenshots of the concerned areas of your site. So that we can deliver you an exact and appropriate solution to you, Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks & Regards! Hi, basically I want to be able to change the meta title and description for each individual category listing page. The screenshot I provided above shows how the meta title and description are displayed when sharing a category listing page to facebook. The pages don't seem to be indexing in Google so I can't get a screenshot of how the meta data appears in search results. Currently the page seems to automatically add the word 'Archive' to the title and pull in the description of the first listing to use as the meta description. This isn't ideal as it doesn't really make sense for the user. Is that any clearer? thanks, Rosie
For further clarity, the example I've used above is for this category page: http://classesforkids.co.uk/listcat/forest-schools/ When I say individual category listing page, I don't mean a business listing, I mean a page showing all the listings for a particular category. There appears to be no way to edit this within WP.
I have just checked your queries and would like to inform you that - The categorized page link shows the title and tagline on facebook. It's default WordPress features. If you want to edit the same then, you will have to use some plugins like Yoast SEO or All in One SEO Plugin etc. There is nothing to do with our theme. I hope you understand. Regards!
