You want to remove search text from the Blackbird Theme but you have putted the issue in colorway Theme. Always put your Theme issue in their respective Theme Thread so that the support will be easy and faster. For your above issue , Go to the searchform.php file present in your BlackBird Theme directory and Edit that file as shown in the image given below. This will remove the "Search" text from the Search box.
