How to select what pages show up in the tabular bar?

Hi there,
For my site, I need to create many pages. Many of the pages are going to be linked to from parent pages or other pages, but I don't every page I create to have a tab below the header. How can I display in the header only the main pages?

Go to
Appearance > Menus
Create a custom menu and only add the pages that you want to show in the navigation bar.
