Hello Phils, You can add rss through rss widget available at Appearance > Widgets > RSS For user subscribe. Theme contain lead capture form through which user can subscribe. And you can manually inform about new updates on site. but for auto mail or auto inform you can use any news letter or Aweber plugin.
