    Hi,
I am trying to optimise my site for the search engines.

I have two issues that I just can not figure out:

    1. According to the spider simulator tools, I do not have a description.

I have looked at the source, and I can not see it there. I see title & author, but no description. See attachment.

I have filled out the seo section in the theme. See attachment.

I also need to make my Title shorter. I can't find the place to do that. I must have done it before, but I can not find the place to do it now.

    Thanks,

    Paul.

    Hello,

    For meta description:
Please check your site. I have manually added description and now it is working fine.
    For title:
Go to the Settings > General
    and change tagline.
    Make it short.

    Thanks Nitesh,
However, I cant make the general setting tag read the same as the source.

It just will not change the words.

    Thanks,
    Paul.

Hi, I can't work this out.

I have nothing at all in the settings>General> tagline.

However, I am still seeing text in my source - <tittle>
    It is most irritating.

I want to take them out and change the title for somthing I want.

Something is stopping me doing this, and I can not see what.

    Thanks
    Paul.

    Hello paul,

One of your plugin "Video SEO for WordPress SEO by Yoast" is creating this problem.
I have changed some code in "header.php" and now all is working fine.
    Please check your site.
