On the listing page for a business the image at the top takes an extremely long time to load. Sometimes over 10 seconds! Can this be fixed in the next update? Thanks. I've included a image of where I'm referring to so you know:
Its depends on your image size that how larger image you have uploaded, We suggest you to use optimized image. Even then we will try it to do our best to improve it.
What do you mean by "optimized image"? Also, the image is small, it's only 67kb, 448x270. Is there a preferred image dimensions and size? Thank you.
Really? Where did you find that? When I looked at the images included in the theme (sample, slide1, and slide2) their dimensions are 448x268. When you size them 350x250 are your preview images fitting inside the box? Because mine on site, Orem Dentist, my preview images are not fitting in the box. Thanks.
Optimized images mean use only fixed size images. Yes the slider optimized size is 444px x 270px. I saw your website and that images load quickly, i don't feeling that images taking lots of time to load in website.
@rehudnall - try using http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ Your site is running a little slow and would benefit from a cache plugin. I tried the test a couple of different times. The best I got was: 54 requests, load time of 1.64 seconds The worst was 3.86 seconds. One picture that was causing a lot of slow load time was this: http://dentist-orem.com/wp-content/themes/geocraft-theme-child/images/menu-border.png I tried to load that in my browser but the image was not there. You might verify that the image is suppose to be there (in the theme files) and then check to make sure it's on the server?
