I thought uploaded images were supposed to automatically resize but when mine show on the front page is is cut down, have I done something wrong ?
Hello, Can you please tell us in which section of the front-page you are talking about, it is in the slider or in the featured listing. And also share the link of your website.
Both the featured listing and the slider http://lawofficedallas.com/ - ok on the individual listing page also the slider doesnt seem to slide, seems stuck. also while I have got you ! How do you change the size of the custom logo to something larger thank you
The dimension of images on front page is small, So it is not possible to resize image to that level. Images will not look good at that dimension. For slider Currently you have four listings and slider works for minimum five listings with image. Add one more listing, Your slider will work fine.
Too small ? Well the first one Bailey & Galyen is 500 x 300 pixels and that cuts the sides off. What size should they be ? thanks
Open front-page.php and make changes as shown in image. Make same changes at line number 156 and 158 Then for line number 220 and 222. It will resolve your problem.
OK but I don't really understand, do we have to do this all the time to get the images to work ? and if so are you changing the theme Also they are still distorted in the "related listings" thanks
As you are using images with the company names, so you have to make changes in front-page.php, module_functions.php files every time while updating theme. Go to the geocrafttheme\library\controls\module_functions.php And make changes at line number 131 and 133
A couple of things please - 1. I can't find - module_functions.php, how exactly do I get there. ? 2. What if I am not using images with company names ? how does that work.? 3. What if I use a combination of images with company names and some without company names ? how will that work ? thanks
1) You will not get module_functions.php file in your dashboard. You can edit it through FTP. Open your Theme directory (through FTP) > library > controls > module_functions.php Download module_functions.php file from there, Edit it, Then again upload it at the same place. 2) After editing these files, Your both type of images will look fine.
wow that is a lot of trouble for us non techie people. What is the optimum size to begin with so we don't have to do all this editing?
