Is there a way to not have the page title appear in the menu bar?

    Hi,
I want to make more pages so that I can write more about my business and people will find them when searching.
My problem is, each time I write a new page, it gets added to the menu bar at the top of the page.
I don’t want this because now I can’t fit any more in and it looks bad.
Is there a way to not have the page title appear in the menu bar?
    Many thanks,
    Paul.

    Hello,

    Go to
    Appearance > Menus
Create a custom menu and only add the pages that you want to show in the navigation bar.

    Thanks for that.
So when I can not see the page on the menu on the web site. It is still out on the internet for people to find, is it?

Thanks, so what I am trying to understand is will the page be indexed by the search engines?

Or would it be better to use posts for this job.

I want people to come accross the page when searching, land on it and see the rest of my site.

    Thanks

    Paul.

Sounds like posts will be better suited for the job. They will get indexed and you can group them by your categories. Keeps the homepage clean and tidy with only your relevant pages showing. You can write posts like crazy and still categorized them on your blog page. That way if your visitors are looking for certain information they can still fine it easily.

You may be right. I check my pages for indexing everyday. I usually have them indexed the next day, max 3 days. I put one page in a custom menu on the 25th. It is not showing anywhere. Not even in a direct page index lookup.

I will copy it over to a post and see what happens. It is a pain really.

The post thing is not as good. I can arrange the page with spacing etc. I also don't like the ADMIN - COMMENTS TEXT etc at the top of the page that you get with posts, but if thats what I have to do to get pages indexed and not apperaing on the first page, I will have to go with it.

The comments field at the bottom is gone now, so that was good advice. If I could clear the bits at the top it would be better.
