Yes u can change the name of theme directory.

 

I canged theme directory name but, site is not loading... need to change css file also ?? or need to change them folder name before intalling theme ????

Hello,

First you have to delete the current theme from your dashboard and then you can upload the new one whose name you have changed.

 

all my data will loss???

 

It won't be lost if you are not switching the theme with someone else in between changing the names, just Upload the Theme with a newer name and activate it.
