JavaScript Slideshow

I previously posted this issue (see below*) and was told to update WordPress. The thread has since been closed- however, after updating WordPress, I still get this message:
"This slideshow requires JavaScript."

Any recommendations? Thank you!

I believe my JavaScript is enabled, but when I create an image slideshow I get this message: "The Slideshow requires JavaScript".
