Is anyone using the latest version of the theme with the captcha images rather than the sum on the registration page? If so is it working? My directory is local for a radius area of 20miles from my home town... I've blocked several countries to cut right down on spam user registrations but i'm getting 3 or 4 listings a day from the USA (can't block or google drops my site from webmaster tools). I think its pretty clear from my site that we are a local UK directry but still we get these listings mainly from I suspect bogus law firms! I'm starting to think its a robot because well why would people be so stupid to waste there time filling out forms when it clearly states their listing will not be published! Admin: What specific files do i need to update the captcha, if found: geocrafttheme\library\front_end\captcha.php geocrafttheme\library\front_end\registration.php geocrafttheme\library\controls\images\ anything else?

I have enabled the captcha for registration but so many user are complaining captcha giving error so i disable captcha from registration page of http://www.b2bclassifieds.in
There only seems to be two captcha images and image two seems to be blank, refreshing doesn't seem to work. I'll stick with the sum!
I had installed v1.8 shortly after its release and by Dec was having regular spam registrations as well - after much effort to try to resolve, I finally found posts which indicated revisions to theme files. http://www.inkthemes.com/community/threads/lead-capture-spam-december-post.8928/I had no idea there was even an update to these theme files -- is there notification somewhere for these kinds of things?RE: REGISTRATIONS, we actually have Registrations hidden on our site and were still getting numerous spam users. Once we made the changes suggested, we have not had ANY new spam registrations in the last 6 weeks. Yea!!BUT, RE: LEAD CAPTURE FORM CAPTCHA on the listing 'contact this business' form doesn't work at all -- in fact on our site, there is NO number/math equation or image at all now. PLUS if you don't enter anything in the captcha field, you will get an error when you try to submit, BUT you can simply click off the side of the form and it will submit anyway without completing the captcha at all ! Not good.Either image or math sum on the Lead Capture is fine with me as long as it works -- is it working for anyone else? Any other solutions?Thanks!~CJ

Hi, ok I received one email with a comment about implementing Google ReCaptcha and an API early today but I don't understand what that means and how to solve the problem. I replied to the email hours ago and don't see a reply -- Are you recognizing that there is actually a problem with the theme that needs an update and that will be the solution? If so, when is that available and how do we resolve it in the mean time? Sorry, but there wasn't any direction given in the email --please advise! Thanks! ~CJ
Hello, Captch implemented in the theme was creating problem on some servers. So we have decided to integrate re-captcha at the registration page and at the lead capture form. I hope it will be a permanent. We are releasing updated theme today. Thank you, Nitesh Singh.
