I just received an email to buy Geocraft V.2. I noted that the feature "Claim Listing" is now part of the Theme. I have not yet installed the new version. Has anyone installed this V.2 yet and is the "Claim Listing" feature real? Can we populate listings and then ask people to claim their listing by creating an account and paying for the listing? I do not offer free listings, all are paid. Are there any other significant improvements to this version? Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Tom
I installed the new version locally but the Claim Listing feature is nowhere to be found. A quick search for the word "claim" on the changelog.txt and on the theme folder gives zero results.
I interested to find out also. Have been waiting for that feature for a long time. The version 2 I had was downloaded earlier this year and it didn't have it. Guess we'll see.
Ok I just reinstalled on a new domain and if you go in to a listing to edit it The claim listing is all the way at the bottom of the page. I walked through the process it's basically claim this listing button under the image in the listing. It requires them to make an account. Then they have to go back to the listing hit claim listing again and then it takes them to a screen to pick a plan. Certainly nice that we have this option now. Would love to see the purchase/claim integrated or once they make an account it redirects them to the pick a plan page right away. Maybe on the next update. Good work getting it in there for us Inkthemes, appreciate it.
Thank you for telling us about this, I appreciate that. Also, is thee anything else new in this latest version? My main complaint is the speed in which it loads. I know that can be affected by Plugins and other components, but my site (http://www.flatheadguide.com) has always been very slow to load. Thanks again, Tom
Hey Tom, I was looking at your site off the new sales page. I like what you did with it, has a very upscale feel. I tested the demo which of course has limited data and it was 1.99 sec vs 11.xx for yours. Usually when my clients are have load issues it's one of three things in this order: 1: Large image files 2: Slow Hosting 3: Overload of plugins I did download a few of your image files and they all looked like descent sizes (I didn't check them all). So it doesn't seem like that is it. I could be depending upon how the theme loads them up in the first page. I would check your plugins and make sure you don't have anything you don't need loaded. Last I would call your host and see what they can do about speeding it up. If you want me to test it on my server let me know and we can load it up. J
