Greetings Team I posted this issue some time ago and I cannot find that post. When this option is turned I am getting hit by a bot, yes a bot not a person. Some other users also posted they were having the same issue. To stop this happening as the email was going to paid members, I have turned off the Leads form. Someone said it was not possible because of the captcha on the form, however they have worked out a way around that simple captcha. It became a real issue and had some upset customers. I would really appreciate some assistance with this so I can offer that option to paid users again. Many thanks
Hello, The suggestion someone provided you is correct, Captcha is the best way to stop spam in WordPress, So it is not possible to receiving spam from non-human process, But if someone generating spam messages manually then it is not possible to stop those messages in WordPress. Hey Nitesh So are you telling me here that it not possible to stop a bot form using the lead capture forms to send email? If you are then the Lead Capture form becomes an irrelevent feature because no one will be able to use it becuse spam bots use them to send spam. Well for me I have turned it off and they have to stay turned off if you Guys cannot do anything about bots using them.
Try using AP Honeypot to reduce spam. Many Internet Marketers recommend it to reduce spam. There is an icon that you can put on your site so that spam bots find it if they get through the captcha. I just added it onto one of my footer widgets. They provide the code. Just copy and paste it in. Hope this helps!
