Left Column Heading content

I am working with the posts for the Left column content. I have an unorder list in the post see below for mark up. However it is not displaying the same way on the front page. Can you help me with this discrepancy?

Mark Up:

Theme using wordpress excerpt function to show content on front page and blog page. And excerpt don't allow html tags.
All your tags will work at post single page.
