When I add a listing category, it does not appear on the menu on the right unless I navigate to another page and then back.
Is this the same problem I'm having? having chosen to populate with the temporary data I can't edit anything in the footer area as the widgets appear empty and the categories are dummy too? Surely also, if this theme is designed for WP it should take into account how WP handles new categories?
The categories don't show up immediately, in fact, as I click the 'add category' or save, it doesn't do anything, yet it IS saved and populated once I refresh the page. I don't believe that this is a Wordpress issue, as this has never happened before and all I use is Wordpress themes. No problem here, just letting people know. Add category name, and hit save - it still fills in the slug info. When adding a new main category, fill it out normally, then save, and refresh page. Then the main category will show up in the dropdown list. Then, when adding the sub-categories, the main category is available for choosing.
I'm finding the very same problem too. Certainly, I can add new categories but I have to refresh the page to see it in the category list. The normal 'Add New Category' button just doesn't want to add the category when clicked. Most annoying! Is there any updates on this?
I'm having the same problem - and with every browser. Category saves with my other Wordpress theme installations work fine.
