"Lost Home Page"

I was trying to delete some of the widgets that I didn't need and now I don't see my home page. All other pages are there. I also deleted a plugin. Is there a way to get the home page back? The info. is still in the dashboard but when I click on Home it says "Sorry no post matches your criteria." The url is

I am using the Colorway theme.

Double check in your wordpress dashboard Appearence > Theme Options > General Settings at the bottom of the page is an option for Front Page On/Off, check this is On

 

Thank you for your suggestion. I looked and Front Page radio button is on. My daughter was changing and deleting things and trying to get rid of menu with home/Home and must have deleted home page. Looks like the info is still there but hidden . I need to be able to restore the homepage with out deleting the site and reloading the theme. I didn't get as far as saving a copy of the site.

 

Have a look in the Editor and see if front-page.php is in the list on the right hand side... if you then you can upload that page using ftp... the content is stored in the database so should not be lost.

Ok I just thought I wouldn't have problems reinstalling the home page. Would you mind telling me how to ftp the home page back into the theme?
Do I copy the source code and put it in a folder?

Does it need to be zipped?

I am using Hostgator and I don't have an FTP client yet.....probably going to use filezilla.

Which file do I need to put it in when I transfer it?

Sorry this is all new to me. I appreciate the help.

If the front-page.php file is visable in the editor then it may not be that it needs replacing and there is some other reason for your missing homepage.

This is probably one best left for the Inktheme guys to sort out. sorry.
