Mandatory fields for custom leads capture form

Hi,
I am getting loads of spam from my custom leads capture form.

Is it possible to make the people fill out the email field.

I want to try this before a recapature form.

In the Appointway theme email is already a required field.
Which is compulsory to be filled by visitor.

I have just tested the form. The email does not have to filled in. My web site is below if you would like to have a look.

I get this email:

Your first name: Paul
Your Email: Your Email
Your telephone number: 12356
Type your message: test 3

Download updated version of Theme from your members area and upload it, This will solve your issue.

Hi I am not using the appointment form I am using just the custom leads form.

Is there an easy way to just update the custom leads form, or do I have to download the whole theme zip file and upload that?

If I do have to download the whole theme again, will it leave everything unchanged.

Or will it re install the standard layout including the appointment form.

I don't want to have to start changing things again.

Hello Paul,

Try solution below hope it will resolve your problem.
Go to the
appointwaytheme\lib\leads_form
and replace leads_form directory with the newly downloaded theme's "lead_form".
You can replace folders through FTP.

I downloaded the new appointaway theme and copied the leads form over, using FTP. (this is not easy for me to do).

It has made no difference. I think the new one is the same as the old one. I can see the one you suggest to use is lead form, not leads form, but this is what downloads in the new theme.

I have checked your site. I think it's a plugin issue.
Deactivate all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
