Has anyone done any tests to check page load speed on this feature.

My site is on a VPS and if I turn on mapping it takes much longer to load the page than with it off.

I've turned it off for the moment while I check whats happening as it takes 10 times longer to load the front page when populating the map - I have around 160 listings with photographs and locations entered.

Is it only the Map? I know of a couple image optimization plugins that have worked well on other sites to increase load time.

https://gtmetrix.com/ is a useful free tool, kind of been afraid to run it on my GeoCraft development site to be honest...but the InkTheme developers should use it to make their code better/smarter/faster.

Thanks all, I'll try some of them out.

At the moment I'm trying WP Super Cache as it allows preloading and seems to make a substantial difference!
