Hi, I am really worried about this email I have received from Google.

Apparently there are errors on the site that will result in my site being ranked lower.

I can’t understand why, because this theme is mobile friendly.

It also says that I have over 70 pages, and 30% of these have bad issues.

Can somebody help me to fix these problems, it is very important to my small business to keep at the top of Google.

As far as I know, I only have 35 pages?

They are saying my issues are Touch elements too close and content not sized to viewport.

    This is their email:

Google systems have tested 73 pages from your site and found that 30% of them have critical mobile usability errors. The errors on these 22 pages severely affect how mobile users are able to experience your website. These pages will not be seen as mobile-friendly by Google Search, and will therefore be displayed and ranked appropriately for smartphone users.

Are these fixable, is there an updated theme to cope with these issues, or do we need to change themes before the 21st April?

Here is a screenshot of some of the problems:

    Hi,

It seems you are using older theme version. Kindly, download a fresh copy of latest version of this theme from members area and upload it to your website. This will resolve your issue.

    Hi Sameer,

Thanks for getting back to me. It seems like Google's job is to get on everyones nerves!

If I upload this updated theme, it won't mess anything up will it?

Also, I am not sure how to do it.

    Thanks

    Paul.

    Hi,

Kindly, create a backup of your theme by installing and activating WP EDITOR plugin.
    as go to Dashboard->Appearance->Theme Editor

and click download theme button to download your current theme now go to Dashboard->Tools where you will find Export website contents.
just do like this and in this way your site's backup would be ready.

Now you can install latest version of this theme as i have told you from members area and upload it to your website

Hope this will resolve your issue.

    Thanks & Regards!

Hi Sameer, I am very nervous about this.

I have downloaded WP EDITOR, and it does not look like a back up program to me.I can't see how to make a back up with it.

    Is this the correct plugin?

    Hi Paul,

I am using this plugin. It will allow you to download your currently activated theme in zip format that will be your theme backup. I have attached the image for your reference.

just do like this and in this way your site's backup would be ready. Hope this will help you out Paul :).

    Hi Paul,

I am also having trouble with the site not being mobile friendly. I just did the update of my themes and it still shows (when you test it at the url that google gives) that it is not mobile friendly. This worries me as I have many websites on different Inktheme Templates. And I do like Inkthemes and would like to continue to use them.

    Hope you can help!

The problem I have is this:

When I use the Google tool https://www.google.co.uk/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/ to check the site is shows as being ok.

However, I have had emails from Google telling me that some pages (30%) are not mobile friendly and that this will result in my rank being re assessed.

The speed test is also very slow and I will be re assessed for this also.

I am not a code writer, so I use Ink themes. I need the site to just work in accordance with Google guidelines.

I can not afford this, so I have to change I think.

    Hello,

We have also checked at our end it is showing mobile friendly.

Kindly provide us the page links that Google is intimating about that they are not mobile friendly. We will check it out at and guide you accordingly.

    Regards,

    Hi,

This is one page where Google says the problem is: Touch elements too close http://www.doncastercarpetcleaners..../doncaster-carpet-cleaners-stain-removal-jpg/

This is one page where Google says the problem is: Contents not sized to view port. http://www.doncastercarpetcleaners....leaners/office-carpet-cleaning-doncaster-jpg/

There are 22 pages like this out of the 73 pages on the site.

I don't understand. I can only do what the theme allows me to do, since I don't do code.

I am very worried about this because I have built this site over 18 months to the point where I am number 1 on google for my local results. We are a small family firm and all of our work comes from the web site.

I have attached the screen shots for other pages that are not mobile friendly.

    Many thanks

    Paul.
