More problems withe galleries in WP3.5

I'm still having problems with the Gallery.
In Dashboard > Settings > Media, I've set the thumbnail size to 150 x 150 with the crop to exact dimentions set box ticked.
When creating the gallery I set size to Thumbnail 150 x 150 and yet when it creates the gallery I get two horizontal columns of pictures at 208 x 140 px. Right clicking view image info gives an image size of 208px × 140px (scaled to 260px × 180px) I really want 4 or pref 5 columns of images. Approx 30 images per gallery.
Although the created galleries do work perfectly showing the full sized image.
If I go into the Media library and edit the photos individually when rescaling the thumbnail down it effects the main (full sized) image instead.
Any ideas?


PS I have re-installed WP3.5 again but still have the problems, anyone else seeing this?

Gourav, I've already followed the instructions in that link and I even posted the question above in it, before remembering I should have started my own thread.
I can get the gallery working almost perfectly, the problem lies with the thumbnails.

 

This is not possible with the current theme gallery. You can download "Nextgen gallery" plugin.
There you will get options to adjust image dimension and number of columns according to your requirement.

Intresting reply, your live demo shows 3 columns wide, I could only get 2, should it be that difficult to resize down? I've now decided to use VisualLightbox gallery as I don't like the Nextgen plugin. The only problem I can see with VisualLightbox is that for some reason the Elite Pro Menu bar shows through the image viewer.

Thank you for your reply, whilst waiting I had time to check some files and found that in the theme style.css - on line 97 the z-index; 1000 - and on line 141 the z-index;10000 Deleteing these 2 lines solved the problem, it all seems to work ok, I assume I will have to do the same after each update of the theme? I have a couple of other styling questions, including the ommision of an Aside template but will start a new thread in the near future.
