My perfect search bar would have three drop downs...

Is it possible to create an alternative search option for this theme?

a combined 'category' type widget with 3 refinement options – Category | State | Region/Suburb?

This would ensure there are no 'blank' results when searching.

Can this be done? Any ideas?

This is not possible with the theme. It would require customizations to be done in the theme.

Our all the customer have their different requirement. So, it is not possible to give the customization at that extent.
You require to do custom code something up with the Theme.
If this isn't something you're able to do then you would need to hire freelancer for it.
