new ad creates new category

Hi,

When i create a new ad, and want to list it under a sub-category... But doesn't show up in this category... instead it creates a new category and doesn't show...

Can anyone tell me whats wrong and why the new ads won't list the right way?

If you have make change in .php files then you will loss your changes.Your theme option content and custom css will remain intact.

Well in that case.. updating the theme is a no go for me! Changed to much in the html just to overwrite it all. And beside that.. Is updating the theme a guarantee that the problem will be solved? Isn't there another solution? One that will save all the work ive done?

Yes, This issue is already resolved in updated version of theme, For conformation you can read changelog.php file of updated theme before installing it.
