Is it normal for the categories to not show up anywhere until there is at least one business listing in each category?

I was hoping to avoid adding business listings myself since there is no method for a business owner to Claim their business.

Seems that is how it is - I've added all my categories (and sub categories) in ready for users to select when creating a listing or a note in my help files to contact me for more information. Claiming the listings already has some threads running on this forum as its quite an issue. I've also backed it up so that I can easily clone the site for other areas.

I asked that question in the WF about the Claim Business feature and was told it wasn't there "yet". I planned on only adding 1 to 3 businesses in each category, then inviting business owners to come and get a 'free' listing. But then I added a few businesses and noticed the lead capture form is showing up for Free listings. Found in the forum here where someone said that happens if you add a business from the admin panel. That you have to add a user account first and then add the listing from that account. That's a lot of extra work especially considering I would need to know details about that business owner to create their account and they have no way to claim the account once it's there. To me, if it only happens from the admin panel then that's a bug that needs to be fixed ASAP.

The lead capture form is shown for all types of listings. However the leads data are not shown on the dashboard of free users, however once the users upgrade their listings leads data start to appear under their dashboard.

The Admin receives all the leads data for all types of listings.

Well that makes a lot more sense, actually, Nitesh. Thank you for that. If business owners see the capture form is there they might be wondering how many leads they are missing out on.

What was confusing was another thread I saw where Neeraj replied saying the lead capture form was showing up because someone added the business from the admin area. He then suggested that person create a user account first, then use that account to add the free listing. Then another person said they tried that and the capture form still showed up. Makes me wonder just how well Neeraj knows his own software. He is misleading people.

I don't understand where the leads show up for Pro accounts yet. You say Dashboard. I assume there is a separate section for them. I will do some testing on that later before I launch my directory site. Thanks again for clarifying that the capture form is there for all accounts.
