Is there a way to set or limit the number of images a business owner can add to their listing? I only want to do this for the Free Listing Package and want to limit it to 1 image. Looks like the default is up to 5 images. Right now there are basically 2 benefits to getting a Premium (Paid) listing vs. a Free Listing. Premium account listings can add the Featured Home or Category page upgrade and they get access to the Lead Capture form. Both good benefits but it would also be nice to tell them they get to add 5 images instead of just one. Clay M.
All this does is limit the images in the slider of the individual listing - another little problem here is the fact that a user can add as many images in the "listing description" field as well as embed multiple videos from a local or youtube source. You can even drag and drop images in to the field -- a good thing to promote or is it in the light of the above comments?
It's not possible to do right now. However based on the users suggestion we had already decided to implement the functionality to allow limiting fields for free listings. We don't have an exact date for launch of the feature, but it is going to come out soon.
That is GREAT news, Nitesh. I have only been in this forum a few days but I was becoming worried that nobody was listening to these suggestions. I hope everyone else sees what you said today. As for the time frame, I know you said you cannot give an exact date but... I was planning on launching my directory site around the middle of January. Do think there's a good chance this feature will be added by then? That would mean anytime within the next 3 weeks or so. If it was close to that I would want to wait until it's there before I launch.
We have updated this feature. You can download updated theme from your members area in a couple of hours.
Go to the Geocraft settings > custom fields / Enable for free listing And enable fields from there for free listings.
That doesn't work, Nitesh. I have tried enabling the fields and disabling the fields. Nothing changes. All fields are available for both Free and Pro accounts regardless of that checkbox status.
