When migrating the site to a new hosting account, the blog page template sidebar switched to a default empty box. I need to recreate the sidebar for this page without loosing the pages current content. I have attempted to fix the sidebar by rebuilding through the widgets unsuccessfully. Though this approach helped with other pages this issued occurred to, it was unsuccessful for the blog page. I now think I need to clean install the blog page template. Is that correct procedure and if so what files should I concentrate on? If you have a better procedure what is it? The sidebar problem can be viewed at: http://greenswan.org/blog
Hello, You have done customization in blog page template. That's why this issue is occurring. Use themes default blog page template. It will work.
I want to make sure I do not lose the posts/content already on the page. Here is my question: What is the best way to proceed as you suggested? Do I go back to the original theme, upload the blog page template and swap it with the existing page template?
Theme: Figero Need: I need custom code work on the blog page template for a live site that currently uses your theme. Specifically the sidebar on the blog page. url: http://greenswan.org/blog/ Need is immediate. Thank you.
Follow the steps given below 1. Firstly copy your current theme blog page code and store it some where for your backup. 2.After that replace it with fresh copy of blog page. You will not lose your post content. You will find out your sidebar code in your sidebar.php file present in your theme directory.
