I have been working on "pages" of my site most of the day and after clicking on the Update button 10-15 minutes ago, the page redirects to the homepage and the changes are not saved.

When I go back to edit the page, I see an error message at the top that says "There is an autosave of this post that is more recent than the version below. View the autosave". When I look at the side box it gives a published on date of an earlier change I made.

I did notice that when the trouble started, I went to go save the changes and the Update button couldn't be clicked. It was as if it was in the middle of saving and the page got stuck.

I have not made any other changes to the website other than updating pages.

I tried creating a new page and it is doing the same thing.

    Corrupt file?

    Hi,

I have checked at our end its working fine. The issue that you are facing mostly occurs when their is a problem with internet or server connection , at that time this autosave option appears and the update button gets freezed. Kindly check again it should work as it is not theme based error.

    Regards,
    Sameer

Watch the video below. I saved it in 2 formats. There is no sound
    https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_OOtoEgEZ30bFp6RnZGN1FIZVU/edit?usp=drivesdk

I tried displaying the narration text below in the video but the screen capture software didn't display it. I hope this makes sense. When you see me drag my mouse to the bottom of the screen in the video is when I was trying to display the text below:
    • This page was created on March 19th. I started editing it yesterday. I made many changes throughout the day yesterday. All of a sudden, the update button got stuck during an update but I didn't realize it. I made more changes and went to save it and noticed it was stuck. I had to restart the tab I had open and none of my updates were saved.
    • As you can see, the page published just fine.
    • Luckily I saved the text and the html code of the page I updated prior to trying to restart the browser.
    • Keep in mind I am using Google Chrome. I was able to duplicate what I am about to show you using Firefox browser.
    • Notice that the published date and time did not change
    • I will now copy the text that I saved.
    • I will now try the html code
    • I even tried creating a new page and when I paste the saved text it does the same thing.

Sameer, I think was able to correct the problem by using a previous revision. I have to wait until later to double check it.

    Sameer,
The problem has something to do with the "indent" feature on the page editor. It only allows a certain amount of indention and if your code exceeds that limit, it causes a problem. I have eliminated that extra level of indention and the problem went away.
