I followed the instructions on creating a blog page with the blog template per your directions. Everything is working fine on the page. But the sidebar I'd like to have custom widgets on the blog page sidebar. The plugin I'm using works on all other pages besides the blog page where I'm using the blog template. I'm using a plugin called WP Page Widget that allows you to customize each widget area on a per page basis. Below is a link to the plugin. Is this a problem with the blog template not working with this plugin or am I doing something wrong? http://www.codeandmore.com/products/wordpress-plugins/wp-page-widget/
Hello, Our theme is compatible with almost all the plugin but there are multiple plugins available in WordPress therefore it is not possible to check every plugin with the theme, You can also search the alternative of that plugin from WordPress.org or Please contact to plugin related support forum, They will provide solution for that. I personally suggest you to use Dynamic Widget plugin, download it from WordPress.org. It will works fine. http://wordpress.org/plugins/dynamic-widgets/ Also check the link for reference http://www.inkthemes.com/easily-control-appearance-of-widgets-on-your-wordpress-pages/02/ Thanks & Regards Gourav Shrivastava
Thanks for the reply. Dynamic Widgets doesn't seem to allow me to add different widgets per page. It also doesn't list my custom pages that I've created so I can toggle the widgets for that page. The Wordpress Page Widget plugin that I'm using works fine. But it seems that the theme's Blog Template overrides any customization. When using a default page template it works fine but your blog template overrides it's functionality. Any way around this?
