I thought that the latest update of 1.6.6 supposedly fixed this issue!! If permalinks are used that are SEO friendly such as /%postname%/ instead of the useless default SEO unfriendly setting, when a user edits their free listing the update fails to save their changes. I'm also using 'All In One SEO' plugin but the search engines aren't going to rate a page ID number as a friendly page name - wonder what that will do for the page indexing in Google for instance??
Can we get a response from the support staff on this please? If this is true then it's one more I need to add to my list of bugs that need to be fixed before I can even consider launching my directory site. Guys, if we can't get a functioning theme and we cannot launch our site then we have zero revenues coming in. Right now I'm still waiting on a few other fixes. This SEO/Save Changes bug is now among them. The broken Search function, No way for businesses to upgrade to a featured listing from their dashboard, Free Listing Enable/Disable does not affect Images Uploader fields.
@rogerb - Please send your dashboard details. I need to look onto your site to see the issue. Also let me know the URL of the listing which you are trying to edit, which is not saving the changes. Also, please make sure you are not using any Cache Plugin while testing the edits. @Colossal 1. Have you tried this yourself ? Is this issue appearing for you as well ? 2. We had planned search feature upgrade which will include tags in searches as well. Are you having any other search issues as well ? 3. The businesses can upgrade their free listings from dashboard, refer image. See attached Image: 4. The Enable/Disable Field can work on Custom Fields only. So that you can disable showing Phone Number/Website address etc. We have not planned to disable Image Uploads for Free Listings, You need to hire someone for implementing this specific feature, Sorry, but this is not in our planned feature updates right now.
