Very frustrated, loaded brand new theme with all your demo data and the PINS will not appear on the map. I have added in all new LISTING LOCATIONS and then changed some business listings to those address's and the pins still do NOT show. Help Please.

Also... this is a community site so do not want to charge for any listings, but want them to be able to choose to PIN them or to make them Featured / Premium.

I have done that already! Said that above.
    I added them all in
Put a location to match on one of the listings-it still does not show up?
    This is urgent now
I can give you admin login details so you can check-but need to know what the error is, not just have it fixed
    Thanks
    Catherine

When you have added locations correctly the pins WILL show on the home page map even if there are no listings with that location to drill down to. Dump any cache that your site is running and also dump any cache on your browser to be sure - I had to do this several times before I had success!

You don't change a business listing address to match the location address but add a location. Two screenshots attached to show how I usually set mine up, the location widget on the listing is the important part to get it to show on the home page map and the listing map address to get it to show on the listing map.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, having to edit coding - surly that should have been working when I purchased the brand new updated theme? or is it because I have updated to the new version of wordpress? I now have a bigger problem with images. Can you go and try and add a listing on the site- see what happens when you try and add your thumbnail or image - does not work

    Hello, go2guru.

I have checked this with our latest version of theme (by activating it in your dashboard) and would like to inform you that everything is working fine as it should..

And it seems that you have done a lot of customized in the theme so the issue might be due to your customization.

So you are kindly requested to activate the latest theme (already install in your dashboard) for once and check after that..

    Thanks & Regards!

Ok, so the first problem is you cannot correctly create a child theme with your theme. It only reads files in a child theme that are in a main directory and not sub directories, such as theme/images or theme/library - that is what is needed when customizing a theme.

Second issue is when using your theme out of the box - it will NOT change the colours, even if you change that under theme options. I actually had to change style.css in main theme + images in main theme.

3rd issue - perhaps you can find a way to include this in your code. Allow option for FREE FEATURED LISTINGS - seen in postings, myself and a few others want to be able to offer featured listings without charging - your theme is limiting that - just takes a bit of coding - I have it right not to charge, but it does not update correctly in backend or show confirmation on submission.

You have done great work on this theme but think it could do with some modifications. I have also had to fix quite a few spelling mistakes / grammer mistakes in files and now have to update those in main theme versus child theme

Also when I activated the child theme and re-copied your changed map file back in - again the PINS are not appearing. Why is this. I put the page you changed into the MAIN theme not child theme

Ok so now not even main pages in child theme are being read. I put your changed map_search.php file in the child theme - it did nothing. As soon as I put it back into the main theme it works with PINS again. So confused because the child theme should be reading those pages correctly - I have it activated and it reads the css etc

    Hello,

    Sorry for the inconvenience..

The issue is not supposed to happen with the child theme as our various users are using child theme and we never get any complaints that the child theme doesn't accept CSS coding or whatever changes have done through the Theme Option panel..

It seems that there might be some mistake happened while creating the child theme..

So I tried to check this through your dashboard but noticed that you have changed your credentials..

Kindly resend your credentials with this thread link so that we can figure out the issue and able to resolve that.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thanks & Regards!

    Hi Priyanka,
I disabled it because I was busy working on the site and did not want anything over ridden. I have re-enabled the same credentials for you I gave you before.

HOWEVER, there are some Coding Errors relating to this theme, please let me know how to fix all of the following errors generated for JS, Stylesheet and Google Maps - I think the Maps one is the most important. I have put notes next to each error. These may help other people too:

    JQUERY ERROR
jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=1.4.0:2 JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.0modernizr.js?ver=4.5.2:2 'webkitIndexedDB' is deprecated.
    Please use 'indexedDB' instead. util.js:222

    GOOGLE MAPS ERRORS
(note from google on this: The script element that loads the API has no API key. Please make sure you include a valid API key as a key parameter. You can generate a new API key on the Google Developers Console. See Obtaining an API key.)

Google Maps API warning: SensorNotRequired https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#sensor-not-required
    (note from google on this:
    The
    sensor
parameter is no longer required for the Google Maps JavaScript API. It won't prevent the Google Maps JavaScript API from working correctly, but we recommend that you remove the
    sensor
    parameter from the script element.)

    http://victims2victors.ca/wp-conten...2_new1/assets/css/color/Skyblue.css?ver=4.5.2
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
NOTE: I think this is why when you go to THEME OPTIONS and try to change the color - it does NOT work. My guess is the spelling, it is looking for Skyblue.css - but in that folder the file name is skyblue.css (all small letters)
I do NOT know where this is coded in to change this

    Thanks
    Catherine

The childtheme error relates to a PAGE, not the CSS. Child theme should be able to read pages in main directory. The file is map_search.php. If I disable that in the main theme and put it in the CHILD THEME, the whole map disappears, so it is not reading that page in the child theme.
