I just started loading businesses on my website and when I change them to pro listing type it automatically makes them a featured listing which I do no understand. How do I keep them as a pro listing and make them not featured?
There are three type of listings Free listings Pro/Featured listings (Both are same) Listings featured on front page slider and category page slider.(They are both pro or free).
I had the same question, however, Nitesh I am not understanding your answer that "Pro/Featured listings (Both are same)" From the Payment Settings Dashboard, under One Time Payment and Recurring Payment settings, it states that " ...you might want to charge extra for a featured listings with..." Which means to me, a client could have a Pro listing (Basic Paid Listing) but NOT pay extra for a Featured Home or Featured Category placement, which means that Pro & Featured listing cannot be the same. And a Pro/Paid listing would not automatically get Featured Home or Category placement, because that would only display if they paid extra for those Features, correct? But it appears that on a Pro/Paid listing, the client is getting the Feature Home/Category even without paying extra for those features.
I agree with what jsal2 has stated but I guess my next question is the following. In a free listing there all the fields do not show so changing them to a pro listing shows all the fields. How can I have all the fields show on a free listing?
You can have all the fields show on a free listing by Enabling the setting for each of the custom fields in the Dashboard Custom Field Options. (And I will move my questions to another thread to not confuse OP inquiry. Thank you)
I think you are confusing with the page name "Featured listings". This page will show all pro listings. And the option shown in image given below is to show/feature your listing at the home page and category page slider.
