I recently followed a tutorial from another site regarding a buddypress plugin and to cut a long story short, I have by accident deleted some important files or code from my theme.
I have posted a message on the BP forum for help but still waiting for clear instructions, so if anyone can help a newbie WP/BP user that would be great.

I have lost my Whats New area within the members area of my community, so no members can post an update to their activity, and if I click on a friends activity there is nothing there.
The same problem applies to the Group Directory, when I click on the name of a group there are no activities and i have lost the create new group button.

I switched over to the default BP theme to see what happens there, everything works perfectly so all the data is still there, but when I move back to my colorway theme it all goes wrong again.

I am using the latest WP and BP plugin and my site is www.thedogsclub.com (I am taking it out of testing mode today so some of things may look odd until I have checked all the links)

Below is the information I received from the BP forum, which I have done but have no idea what to change in the files.
To over ride the BP template files for single Groups:
    Copy this folder
    plugins\buddypress\bp-templates\bp-legacy\buddypress\groups\single\

Into your theme folder – make sure you use the same folder structure.
So when done, it should look like this:

    your-theme\buddypress\groups\single\
Then you can edit the files in the ‘single’ folder and maybe solve your problem.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hello,

First off all if you have deleted some code from the theme then download theme again from your members area and upload it.
    Login here: http://inkthemes.com/members/member/index

After that re install the Buddypress plugin.

I hope it will solve your issue.

Many thanks for the information, I was very hesitant to uninstall BP incase I lost all the test data, but I did it and not only did it just take a couple of minutes it also kept all of my settings. The activity and buttons are now all okay.
    Thanks for your reply
