problems with categories

if i open the categories, no entry appears, even if there have already been entries in the categories.

Hello,

I think you have changes category slug which is causing this problem.
Edit your category "WU Wien" remove slug and update it.
Then check category page. It will work.

okay i am sorry but somehow i do not get that...

whats the difference between "normal" categories and listing categories??

I have "All Listings" option at my menu on the start page but if i click on it, no listing appear, but there are listings in the database!!

also i was able to show the listing categories in the listing page on the right side, but it seems that there is also a flaw in the search!

could you please check that live and help me out!?

Checked your site.
I think you have corrected category issue. Now listings for particular category is visible.
http://www.zweitbuch.org/Marktplatz/listcat/wu-wien/

Normal category will work for blog posts. But for listings. Listing category is required. You need to create listing categories to separate listings.

For all listing page: Edit that page and select "Template listing" as a page attribute.
It will work.

thank you nitesh, in the meanwhile i figured out this problem, now i have another one also related to categories, when i click on one category, the listings are displayed correcly BUT before there is a message coming up that no listings are found

This is the message which i do not want to show: "Bücher, die derzeit verkauft werden IN TU WIEN
Keine Einträge gefunden."

Hello,

That area is for featured listing slider (Only for pro listings).
While creating listing there is a checkbox to feature your listing on slider.

But if you want you can make free listings featured on home and category page from admin panel (Backend).
For it edit any listing and check option shown in the image.



It will improve your site look.

okay but i would have to do that for each listing separately right??

isnt there a way to just not show the featured listings??? or have it default for all the listing?

 

To remove featured slider open "taxonomy-listcat.php" and remove code from line number 12 to 114.
For home page slider open "front-page.php" and remove code from line number 19 to 113.
