Hello Kevin, I think you are using the older version of the theme that's why you are facing errors. So, you are requested to update the theme to the latest version. Next, extract the zip file of the theme and rename that folder like theme_name to theme_name_new, Again, you would need to create a zip file of that renamed folder (say: theme_name_new.zip), Now, upload the theme to your WordPress from Dashboard->Appearance->Themes->Add New, Then, activate your theme, This way you can install and activate the latest version in your site, keeping the copy of your older version on your WordPress Hope you find it helpful, Do let me know if the problem still persists.
