Remove 'No comments' from Blog Excerpt

Hi, Is there any way to remove 'no comments' from the bit in front of 'continue reading' on the posts excerpt page. I don't want any comments, nor any mention of comments anywhere on my site. I'd obviously prefer it to be by css if possible. I've tried every comment removal plug-in without success.
