Remove Social Icons

Hi,

I've tried removing the social icons I don't want by deleting the '#' in the theme options, but they return after making any other modifications. How can I remove them permanently?

You are talking about footer widget area, Go to the
Appearance > Widgets
Drag widgets and drop it in the second widget area, This will solve your issue.

 

Hmmm... As far as I can tell there is not a widget for these icons. They're part of the theme controlled through theme options> social icons. My footer widget areas are empty, except for a testimonial widget. I want to keep some social icons and drop others. Thanks for your help.

 

I have the same issue and agree with jasonb. There isn't a wideget for the icons as they appear in the footer of the theme but you can't delete them. Only make them inactive which is pointless.

 

Go to the sidebar-footer.php file present in your Theme directory and delete the code of the social icons that you want from that file as shown in the image given below.

This will solve your issue.

Note: This will pemanently delete the social icons from the Theme.
